self-portrait tuesday

January's theme is personal history.

This is me as a kid!

Best of 2005

This weekend Mike reminded me that I created a post last year called Good things for 2004.

So without further delay, in no order, here is my list of good things from 2005:
- a positive net worth for the first time
- holding 1-day old Owen Bruin in the hospital
- going to the Indianapolis 500
- a garage for my car
- participating in my first craft sale and selling something
- realizing i'm going to end up with Mike for life
- withholding the correct amount of federal tax
- a new computer!
- the wonderful salmon at the Eiffel Tower restaurant in Las Vegas
- setting aside money for Christmas presents by Thanksgiving
- my own craft room!
- drinking cosmos in Minneapolis at a swank restaurant
- fun Christmas party with the girls

I'm still here!

Hello gals and gents. yes, i've been neglecting you. But things are returning to normal now.

I've been on vacation for the last two weeks. And I have accomplished little. I shouldn't say that. I got a lot done before Christmas, but after, I've been lazing around. Spent lots of time with the boyfriend. Got way too much sleep. Spent too much money eating out.

But I head back to work tomorrow and things should return to normal. I plan to buy a digital camera soon, so hopefully that will mean lots of crafty pictures!

Here is a camera-phone pic of the earrings I made for my 13-yr old cousin's kid. I had her name in the family gift exchange. I also gave her a purse I made a long time ago, and some stationary customized with her name all wrapped up in a hat box I decorated. The gift went over very well. I was tickled.

Vicki's got a brand new blog

One of the magazines I work for decided that each editor would have to write a blog. Oh, and we're supposed to post new things 2-3 times a week! HA

So I was the first to put something up, and if you'd like to read it, here's
the link

Actually, if you'd like to frequently read it, so that I get lots of hits, and become the Cool Editor, that would be great. I'm going to add the link to my toolbar on the right.

NOW FOR THE FUN STUFF!

Don't forget to read my new work blog. Often. :)
