We've been wanting to tap our silver maple tree ever since we moved in, but never managed to do it until this year! Mike tapped the tree on Feb 28 and a week later we had a bucketful of sap. We have wild strawberries growing in several places in our yard. This was the first one to ripen. Mike and I split it after we took the picture. It was maybe one inch tall. There won't be enough of them to really do anything, but we're excited nonetheless!

A couple weeks ago I was in NYC for work. I wanted to take pictures of each meal, since I knew the food would be outstanding. I snapped this picture after we saw the Cleveland Orchestra. It was my birthday present to Mike. They played the Tchaikovsky's Romeo & Juliet overture, and his First Piano Concerto, which was the main reason we went. I feel like I haven't been home in weeks!Mike's grandfather passed away so we were dealing with that and then I went to California for work. We stayed at the Disneyland Grand Californian Hotel which is a part of Disneyland. It is all decked out in the Arts and Crafts style. It was a beautiful weekend here in Northeast Ohio. Mike and I had to drive to Nelsonville for calling hours for his grandpa's sister.
